CCEDUC Child Development in partnership with People to People Inc (P2P) and TASO Uganda has collaborated with the District Leadership to ensure access to clean water, testing with RDTs at household level, treatment or referral of diagnosed malaria cases, and improving hygiene and sanitation (latrine construction, tippy-tap installations in schools and vulnerable communities).
Training girls about menstrual health.
CCEDUC carries out sensitization sessions on menstrual hygiene management among schoolgirls, emphasizing confidence, health, and dignity. Through its program, CCEDUC also provides free menstrual cups and trains girls on their safe and effective use. This support helps reduce absenteeism, prevent stigma, and ensure that girls remain in school throughout their menstrual cycle.
Donation of Biosand water fliter by David Bielby
CCEDUC is deeply grateful to David Bielby for his remarkable generosity in donating 60 Biosand filters to the people of Yumbe, and especially for providing three filters to our community school. Because of these filters, the school has remained free from waterborne diseases. We celebrate individuals like David, whose kindness and love for vulnerable communities bring hope and lasting impact.
